It was not until 2003, when he saw Hernan Cattaneo played at an outdoor rave at the outskirt of Jakarta. Soon after that he fell deeply in love with the music. And finally it all started in 2005, when he tried spinning at his friend’s studio. The urge to spin was so tempting for him, so he went out & got himself a set of turntable & a mixer. He pounded his ears day in & day out trying to learn the trick all by himself. His inspiration came from Hernan Cattaneo, Armin Van Burren, Andy Moor, Kasey Taylor & Tosse. In his early year as a DJ, he played at his friends private parties. And he got the break he deserved when he played at a party at Bliss/ Loft 25 thrown by a major drinking brand. A big accomplishment for a young up coming DJ. Ever since he played in a few major clubs. Zaki’s undeniable talent can be described as a journey of House which ranging from pure house to progressive sound. His wicked DJ set has already won praise from the peers & senior DJ’s alike.
